About Silchemy

Silchemy was formed in 1989 as a Tech Transfer project from a U.S. national laboratory, based on our advanced materials expertise and multiply-patented materials. Over the years since, we have expanded our areas of consultation and research into medical devices and vibration effects and damage. Our primary focus currently is in vibration effects on buildings, particularly vibrations from construction and blasting. We continue to have an interest in advanced materials. We provide wide-ranging scientific litigation support in medical devices and vibration damage from construction and blasting, in which we have a long background in consultation and testimony. We are located just outside Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA in the Mountain time zone..

Consulting Rates

Initial evaluations are confidential, free and without obligation for any party. For those situations in which we agree to consult, our current consulting rates are $400 per hour of billed work, with a required retainer of $4000, which covers the initial work done after the evaluation. Work done outside the state of New Mexico is billed at a flat rate of $4000 per day. Reasonable and customary travel expenses are also charged to the client, if travel is necessary. We do not bill for time spent solely in travel. On a case-by-case basis, we may adjust these rates downward for some non-profit organizations, as part of our public service program. A curriculum vitae is available upon request.
